The Hill Aerospace Museum in Ogden, Utah is one of the most unique museums in the United States Air Force. The museum is dedicated to the history and heritage of the United States Air Force and is home to a wide variety of aircraft and artifacts.


History

The museum was founded in 1981 by Colonel George S. Hill, who served in the US Air Force for more than 20 years. Colonel Hill was a pioneer in the field of aircraft maintenance and played a significant role in the development of the US Air Force's maintenance program.


The museum is located on the site of the former Hill Air Force Base, which was active from 1942 to 1969. The base was named after Colonel Hill, who died in a plane crash in 1941.

The museum is home to more than 75 aircraft, including a B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, B-29 Superfortress, and B-52 Stratofortress. The museum also has a wide variety of artifacts on display, ranging from clothing and equipment used by Air Force personnel to historical documents and photos.
