Woodward Park is a beautiful oasis located in Layton, Utah. The park is home to a variety of plant and animal life, as well as a popular destination for bird watching.


History


In the late 1960s, the city of Layton purchased the property from the Layton Land and Water Company with the intention of turning it into a public park. The park was officially opened to the public in 1971.


Today, Woodward Park is a popular destination for picnicking, hiking, fishing, and bird watching. The park is also home to a variety of plant and animal life, including several species of ducks, geese, and herons.
