History
The museum was founded in 1986 by a group of Layton citizens who wanted to preserve the history of the city. The museum is located in the historic Layton Tabernacle, which was built in 1884.
Exhibits
The museum has several exhibits that highlight different aspects of Layton's history. The "Pioneer Life" exhibit tells the story of the early settlers who came to Layton in the 1800s.
