Layton City Vietnam Memorial Wall is located in Layton, Utah. It was built to honor the men and women who served in the Vietnam War. The wall is made of black granite and is inscribed with the names of over 58,000 Americans who lost their lives during the war. The wall is a place of remembrance and reflection for those who have lost loved ones in the war.

History


The Layton City Vietnam Memorial Wall was built in 1992. It is located in Veteran’s Park, which is also home to the Layton Veterans Memorial. The wall was built with private donations and with funding from the city of Layton. The wall was designed by Utah artist Gary Parson.


The wall is made of black granite and is inscribed with the names of over 58,000 Americans who lost their lives during the war. The names are listed in chronological order, from the first American casualty in 1961 to the last in 1975.
